Garbage Pick Up

Starting in January of 2010, the trash and recycling collection for the Village of Wild Rose will be changing to Thursdays. There is a 2010 calendar and information guide explaining the changes being mailed to every resident by Veolia Environmental Services. If you do not recieve a letter by Friday, December 18, please call Veolia Environmental Services at 1-800-688-4285 and you will be sent the information.

Computers

Also effective immediately, Wisconsin landfills will no longer be accepting computer components.  No computer moniter, printers, hard drives, keyboards, printers or any other computer part may be placed in youre trash cart for recycling.

Waushara County Parks and Solid Waste will be accepting them at their building in Wautoma at N2402 South Townline Road.  There will be a $12 charge if you are dropping off a computer monitor.  There is no charge for any other computer part at this time.

Televisions

With the change to high definition, nmore and more televisions are winding up in landfills.  As many television components are recyclable, beginning in September 2010 landfills will no longer be accepting televisions.  Waushara County Parks and Solid Waster Recycling is working on a disposal plan and more information will be available before September.


Brush Pick up

Brush is picked up by the Village Streets and Maintenance Department spring through fall only.  Beginning in the spring, dates will be posted on the Calendar. Previous years' pick ups have been on alternating Mondays.  This is subject to change.
